Compact and fanless

The R8 is very handy and easy to transport. With its unique fanless design, the R8 weighs just 0.86 kg, making it the most compact 8″ tablet on the market.

Excellent image quality

The R8 features an 8″ LCD display (1280 x 800) with Durabook’s proprietary DynaVue® technology with up to 800 nits for excellent image quality even in direct sunlight. It can be used in either portrait or landscape mode, allowing users to view applications in the orientation that suits them best.

Equipped with a 10-point capacitive multi-touch panel with four advanced touch modes, workers can choose their preferred data input mode: finger, glove or stylus for greater precision. What’s more, each input mode works regardless of working conditions, even when the screen is wet.

Long battery life

The R8 can run for 8 hours on its removable main battery, so in most cases it will last the whole working day. For those who need to work longer, an optional high capacity battery is available with up to 16 hours of battery life, allowing the unit to be used for multiple shifts without recharging.

Versatile functionality

Uniquely designed for different applications and scenarios, the Durabook R8 rugged tablet offers ultimate functionality with limitless customisation options. It has numerous built-in expansion modules for multiple ways to access and transfer information on the go. Optional add-ons include a barcode reader, smart card reader, RFID (NFC) reader, magnetic stripe reader, serial port, RJ-45 port and additional USB 3.2 ports.

A 2 MP front camera, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth® V5.2, an optional 8 MP rear camera, optional GPS and multi-carrier 4G LTE mobile broadband are also included in this versatile tablet.
