The R8-EX has a replaceable main battery that provides up to 8.5 hours of operation. For longer working days, an optional high-capacity battery is available that provides up to 17 hours of operation, allowing multiple shifts without recharging.

Excellent image quality

The R8 features an 8-inch (1280 x 800) LCD display with Durabook’s proprietary DynaVue® technology. It has a brightness of up to 800 nits and offers excellent image quality, even in direct sunlight. The display can be used in either portrait or landscape mode, allowing users to view applications in the orientation that suits them best.

The device features a 10-point capacitive multi-touch panel with four advanced touch modes. Workers can choose their preferred data input mode: Finger, Glove or Pen for greater precision. Each input mode works regardless of working conditions, even when the screen is wet.
